Reference number W2880, salary in accordance with the German TV-L salary scale¹, pay grade: E13 TV-L, duration of employment: 2 years with the possibility of extension, volume of employment: 100 % of standard working time

Your responsibilities:

In recent years, a new field has emerged: AI for Science. Our group has a long and strong tradition in language modelling (including several Best Paper Awards at major NLP conferences) and is building on top of this expertise. Our research is conducted in close collaboration with the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research as well as the Saarland University Hospital, giving us access to exciting and unique data.

Your profile:

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD) in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Bioinformatics, Physics, Mathematics or a related field
  • Language skills (according to CEFR): English at C1 level

You also bring:

  • Excellent knowledge of machine learning and deep learning
  • Excellent programming skills
  • The ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a small team
  • Excellent English skills (according to CEFR: C1)

Pay grade classification is based on the particular details of the position held and the extent to which the applicant meets the requirements of the relevant pay grade within the TV-L salary scale. Part-time employment is generally possible.
